Martin Garrix gets No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart with his latest single, “Higher Ground” on the ranking dated 15 August 2020. This song, which featured John Martin on vocal, was no 3 last week. This is the first time Martin Garrix earns the top spot. Previously, the Dutch DJ/producer had nine Top 10s song including five Top 5 hits on Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart [“Animals” (No. 4, 2013); “Don’t Look Down,” featuring Usher (No. 5, 2015); “In the Name of Love,” with Bebe Rexha (No. 3, 2016); “Scared to Be Lonely,” with Dua Lipa (No. 4, 2017); and “No Sleep,” featuring Bonn (No. 4, 2019)]. As for John Martin, this is the 2nd time he gets no 1 after his featured vocal on Swedish House Mafia’s “Don’t You Worry Child”.

The chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on nearly 80 top 40-formatted reporters. It is gaining core-dance airplay on stations including KMVQ-HD2 San Francisco, SiriusXM’s BPM and Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
