[Throwback Tuesday] One Year Ago, Martin Garrix Suffer An Ankle Injury That Required Him To Underwent A Surgery

In the middle of the night on 26 May will be remember by garrixers around the world. Martin Garrix was performing for his residency in Omnia Last Vegas on 25 May night when he was jumping off stage mid set and injured his ankle. He frequently jump in his shows but unfortunately that time he land it badly that it ripped his ligament.

He was taken off the stage by his body guard to see the severity of the injury but like the champion that he is he comeback on stage to perform for fans, even when he had to do it with one leg and on a chair. But when the pain become unbearable, Martijn cut his set short then was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Due to the severity of his injury, Martin Garrix needed a surgery to attached the ripped ligament of his right leg. He was forced to cancel a month of shows for his recovery. Even then he try to speed up the whole process and continue to perform even with one leg while his right leg was on cast and crutches.

According to Quote, a Dutch business magazine, Martin Garrix is the riches young celebrity in Netherlands. With estimated wealth of € 45 million (almost $ 50 million), he comes in 16th place of Quote Magazine Top 100 Young Self-made Millionaires. The no 1 young Dutch millionaire on the list is Stijn Koster (36), the founder of hosting company i3D.net with estimated assets worth € 200 million.

This list consist of entrepreneurs under the age of 40 who have made themselves big without financial help from their parents and they also shouldn’t be on a payroll anywhere. Other DJ who also made it into this list are Afrojack and Hardwell. Among the 7 celebrities on the list which also included Doutzen Kroes, Nikkie Plessen, Lara Stone, and Demy de Zeeuw, Martin Garrix is the youngest and also the richest.

[Trivia] 18 May Is Martin Garrix Day!!

Do you guys know that 18 May is Martin Garrix Day? 😁😁

California Legislature Assembly gave Certificate of Recognition that declared 18 May as Martin Garrix Day in the state of California. This certificate was presented to Martijn on 18th May 2017 for outstanding achievements and contributions to electronic music. Other artist who also had their own day are Beyoncé (23 May in the state of Minnesota) and Rihanna (21 February on Barbados Island). Wow…. superb!! You can see the picture & video bellow. [Article] Happy Birthday Martin Garrix!! | 14 May 2020

Today (at least I post this when it’s still 14 May in Netherlands 😂) is Martijn Garritsen’s (a.k.a Martin Garrix) birthday! He was born ton 14 May 1996! Wow, so much younger than me😂. [Trivia] The Wasps: A Martin Garrix Horror Story

This series of unfortunate events actually happened last year but Martin Garrix dished new information about the aftermath so I decide to write it. After injured his ankle and stop performing for 1 month, Martijn finally back on tour last summer. But his hardship not ended yet. On Labor Day Weekend in Montreal, Martijn got stung by a wasp inside his throat! TWICE!

It happened just minutes into his set at Beachclub Montreal. He quickly seeking first aid for the sting but after that decided to continue his performance despite the pain.  Martin Garrix back to perform for his fans who came to the sold out shows. He even played an extended 30 minutes!

The story is just incredible…this is Martin Garrix back on stage after he got stung directly in the mouth by a bee”. He said to me, “Fuck bro – I’m going back; it’s too extraordinary here not to!”

Martin Garrix is willing to go the extra mile for his fans. After his ankle surgery and needed rest he moved forward with his tour despite the pain, even perform while still wearing casts and crutches. He also endure the pain from wasp’s sting until he finished his set. But he never told the whole story about the incident for a long time until he was doing a Zoom meeting with his fans last month!

We just know that the accident end up making him brought to the emergency room because he experience difficulty to breath! He told us that due to the adrenaline rush he felt when he performed his throat wasn’t really start swelling. But after he finished his set, it start swelling and make him can’t breath from his mouth. The situation prompt him to go to hospital to ensure his health and safety.

Speaking about the extra miles Martin Garrix is willing to take for his fans, I remember this story from one of the biggest Martin Garrix’s fanpage in Instagram, The Martin Garrix hub.

If Martin Garrix come to my office I probably will fainted 😂. He really is the best boy and we’re lucky to be his fans!

[Trivia] Martin Garrix Funny Question On Weibo | 29 April 2020

Today, Martin Garrix post a funny question in Weibo. He was wondering why there’s a lot of fans who commented to his post with “老公” which when he googled means “husband”😂.

To that question, fans responded that it’s because the fans affectionately call him that in the comment😂. STMPD RCRDS official Weibo also reply to him and Martijn response was a cute, “ahhh ok..”😂.

[Trivia] Martin Garrix and The Dutch Police: One Does Not Simply Doing A Rooftop Live Set

To celebrate video of Martin Garrix live at his rooftop in Amsterdam which just got more than 2 millions views in around 10 days, I want to reminded all of you how epic his live set is that the Dutch Police even came at Martin Garrix’s house😂

This might seems like a joke, but it was really happened. According to Martijn, the police saw the announcement of his live set and thought he was going to throw a huge party😂. So they showed up at his house a few hours before the time to make sure that there was nobody there😂. Martijn said the only one who were there dancing to his live set was his mom😂. How funny!

I’m sorry Dutch policeman😂. But Martin Garrix is a law-abiding citizen😂. But I’m seriously impressed how they really dedicated to make sure the citizens isn’t gather up in one place that they even came to check out on artists. I was wondering if the delay in the livestream time is due to this🤔.

Anyway, Martijn said he want to record another livestream!! They really do the 2nd STMPD RCRDS Festival so I’m pretty sure Martijn will also do another live set. Do you think this time the Dutch Police will come again? 😂🤔 Comment below and let me know.

A few days ago, Florian Picasso and Martin Garrix’s alias, GRX, release their collaboration “Restart Your Heart”. Today Florian Picasso shared a hilarious edited version of the song with duck sounds, jokingly claim that “This was the original drop for “Restart Your Heart” but the label wasn’t feeling it 😭🦆.” The edited version is so funny that most people commented with laughing emoji while another jokingly said Stmpd Records should release the edited version😂.

[Trivia] The Curious Incident Of Martin Garrix’s Favorite Jacket

It’s all started when Martijn post pic of a jacket in his Insta story. It was a NIKE Allover Vapor Flash running jacket & I was like, “New endorsement? Or he just want to show us his new jacket?”🤔🤔.

It’s turned out he just really love the jacket! ❤️ And it’s actually an old jacket that he has owned since 2015. He wore it everywhere. At the airport, when he meet with fans, etc. He even wore it to the stage when he was performed in Maori Beach Club, Brazil. He love it so much. It became his favorite. 😍
